Planets, Houses and the Big Three
Learn your way around a birth chart, from the Sun, Moon and rising sign to planets, houses and the basic language of aspects.
In development — not yet available to purchase
A birth chart can look like a crowded circle of unfamiliar marks. Your First Birth Chart breaks that visual language into smaller parts, helping you understand what you are looking at before trying to interpret everything at once.
Explore why birth details and chart settings matter, meet the Sun, Moon and rising sign, and discover how planets, signs and houses play different roles in astrological interpretation. An introduction to major aspects and a clearly labelled worked example bring the vocabulary together.
This is a beginner’s guide to reading a chart as a symbolic framework, not a personalised horoscope or a promise of future events. Use it to ask more thoughtful questions, keep your notes organised and recognise the limits of a single placement.
Beginners who recognise the zodiac signs and want a structured introduction to birth-chart vocabulary.
The guide explains chart vocabulary and works through a clearly labelled example. If you want to follow along with a chart of your own, calculate it elsewhere — this store does not calculate charts and never asks for your birth date, time or place.
Planned lengths and chapter starts. Final pagination will be confirmed after writing and layout.
A first chart reading becomes clearer when you separate three questions: which planet, which sign and which house? In astrological interpretation, these describe a symbolic theme, a style of expression and an area of life. Combine them gently, then check the wider chart before drawing conclusions.
Blank note areas, not a natal chart: no wheel diagram and no planetary data are presented here.
Choose one placement from a sample chart. Write the planet, sign and house separately, then turn your notes into one open-ended question.
Design preview. Final layouts and pagination may change during production.
An aspect is the angle between two points measured around the circle. These five are the ones the guide introduces, drawn here at their exact angles.
These are the exact angles. How much leeway is allowed either side — the orb — is a separate convention that varies between practitioners, and the guide states and applies one consistently. No aspect is treated as inherently good or bad.

CALYRO explores astrology as a symbolic tradition, not an established scientific method for describing personality or forecasting events. Nothing here promises predictions, compatibility, financial, medical or wellbeing outcomes, and no sign describes a real person. The guides use Western tropical astrology and say so. This store does not calculate charts and never asks for your birth date, time or place.
